Drawing Tablet Cursor on Two Monitors Problem

Sorry if this was gone over before, but I can't find a solution...
Okay, here's the story, when I'm at home I want to be using my Tm2 at my desk, with one of my monitors hooked up to it. I want to be able to use the Tm2 as the main screen (having the task bar on it), and the external screen as a separate screen (extended display is what the program is calling it). On the Tm2 I want to be able to use Photoshop (CS5) and be able to draw ect... while on the external screen I want to have internet browser, iTunes, folders ect...
The problem I'm encountering (appears) to be caused by the Wacom pressure sensitivity driver for the Tm2. Well... onto the actual problem: I have the Tm2 setup so that it is outputting (over the VGA port) to the external monitor, I go to open a drawing program (Photoshop, Artrage, ect...) and suddenly the cursor jumps away, and acts like the entire screen real estate is under the Wacom digitizer. It only does this when I have a "drawing" program open, and as the top most window. The windows hand writing input thing is not affected.

I've done two clean installs on another hdd, and before I install the driver from HP or Wacom it appears to be working correctly, sans pressure sensitivity. once I install the driver it will do this once again; I've tried calibration, ect... nothing works. It only does this with the pen; touch/ mouse/ trackpad are not affected.

In this picture the colored dot closest to the top right represents the position of the pen, and the second dot of the same color represents where the cursor actually appears. (the top right is the (0,0) point)

Maybe I have to talk to Wacom and see if they could re-write a bit of the driver so it works correctly in this kind of situation. Has anyone else experienced this? any possible workarounds/ fixes?

If someone can try hooking up a external display/ tv (it does this when outputting through hdmi or vga), setting it to "extended desktop" (Tm2 as primary screen), and opening a drawing program (photoshop, art rage, ect...)
what driver are you guys using for pressure sensitivity?(the one from hp website, the "tablet pc" one from Wacom, or one of the other drivers from Wacom)

I would really like to be able to use my Tm2 with a second screen, while drawing on the screen. This shouldn't be so difficult.

Hi, I just got my TM2 last week. I am a big fan of using dual-monitors for the productivity boost it gives you, but when I hookup a second monitor using the extended desktop (not cloning) I got the same problem that you describe its like using a Wacom Bamboo where the mouse points relative to my combined screen real estate. Which doesn't work so well using Photoshop-like drawing programs with the pen. The best I can do; clone the desktop and that has its uses... There has got to be a work around for this!
I'm using the default driver that was installed by HP

Okay, I have found (through a lot of trial and error) a [sort of] solution. It’s a weird work around, and it may not work for everyone. But I did this on my main install, and a fresh (just for the sake of testing the steps; I Installed a fresh Win 7 Ultimate, then all the drivers that were in my SWSetup folder, then Art Rage) following these steps will causes some minor problems (especially if you do a bad job calibrating) but its a decent "patch" for the problem. This requires you to calibrate your screen, so beware
With that said here are the steps I followed (on two occasions) to get it working, hope it works for you

1) Unhook any external monitors

2) Have HP's "Pen Tablet" driver installed (meaning there is an option for it under Control Panel/ Hardware and Sound/ titled "Pen Tablet Properties")

3) Launch "Pen Tablet Properties" and go to the "Calibrate" tab; make sure "Generic PnP Monitor (1)" is selected in the drop down menu, hit "Calibrate" and calibrate to the best of your ability

4) Next go to Control Panel/ Hardware and Sound/ and choose the one titled "Tablet PC Settings"

5) Under the "Display" tab choose "Mobile PC Display" then click "Calibrate" choose "pen input", and then calibrate again

7) Again under the "Display" tab choose "Setup" and run it for both options (Pen Input, and Touch Input)

8) Restart, plug in an external monitor, open a drawing program, and check if everything is working properly.

9) If things aren't working right then re-start from step 1, it should work correctly once you've done it twice (It did for me anyway)

One of the other issues I've encountered when dual screening is that the "Tm2 Control" program gets stuck halfway on the right side of the Tm2's screen If you found you had to do something different than what is here, post back on what you had to do (or if my steps are unclear/ wrong). EDIT: I forgot to mention a trick when using dual monitors, If you open a new window/ application, and you cant see it; just hit the little "Show Desktop" button on the far end of your taskbar, and the program will be visible.

I have NOT had this problem. I just got am Asus 25.5" 1980x1200 screen and I have not had this issue. However, I am using HDMI to this secondary monitor. That would be weird that it would matter if it was VGA or HDMI.
But, I move programs between the two no problem and I usually have OneNote minimized (love this program) and SKPro as well. I obviously can't move those two to the other monitor as that monitor has no touch capability.

Every blue moon my pen will go bonkers as if the screen got rotated or something. But, usually it corrects itself after I restart the program. But, nothing like what you guys are experiencing.

It does the same thing whether through HDMI or VGA. But the problem only pops up when using Photoshop, or ArtRage (I didn't try many others) as the top most window, and the pressure sensitive driver installed/ working. If you can try either Photoshop, or ArtRage it would be much appreciated (as a trial version, they are free)
A cool thing I found is that when you close the Tm2's lid (while the Tm2 is the main desktop) It'll make your secondary screen the primary, and move all the open windows there, and then undo this once you open the screen.

I still haven't found a way to get the "Tm2Control" program to be usable when using 2 screens.

Ah, OK, I will get those programs tonight and try it.
I have been mainly using the student versions of AutoDesk software with no problems.

@electronbee Have you (or anyone else) tried dual screens with Photoshop/ Art Rage?
Another thing I did was after I got it working I went to Control Panel/ Hardware and Sound/ and choose the one titled "Tablet PC Settings"; then Under the "Display" tab I choose "Mobile PC Display" then clicked "Reset" and now the Pen input works almost 100% accurately, and with Photoshop (where before that at the edges it "floated" a bit)

Hi Agent9,
I've had the same problem (pen not writing at the spot you press it) using a Corei3 TM2 and a videoprojector attached through vga. It was when using Uniboard (www.getuniboard.com), a pen software for teaching and presenting.
I was desperate to find a solution and was very disappointed because I bought this computer only for teaching.
Then after hours of trial, I found your solution (post #5) and it worked for me.
I just wanted to thank you for the very acute explanations you wrote on this forum.
I will keep reading and writing there in the following weeks if anything new appears.
